Positioners

The M.B.C. model BP-2 welding positioner is the “workhorse” of our line. This positioner is a sturdy, smooth running tool that will handle the heavy loads and demands of production MIG and intricate TIG welding. It will handle up to 200 lbs. of a balanced workload in the horizontal position.

The BP-2 positioner also enables the weld operator to make any angle the correct DOWNHAND angle for fast, smooth welding of small and intricate assemblies. Welders can deposit more metal with fewer passes because weld flows more readily and pools evenly. Welds are therefore more uniform, stronger, and require minimal finishing.

The front mounted speed control allows convenient, infinite selection of speeds, both forward and reverse, from 0-18 RPM, depending on the positioner model. The BP-2 features a DC motor with a SCR speed control that is insulated from high frequency interference.

The standard foot switch accessory provides for convenient “on-off” control of the table rotation. The easy positioning tilt table provides the exact setting for the best welding angle and highest welder productivity.

The M.B.C. positioner is also handy for chipping, grinding, painting, gluing, and other production operations that require controlled, circular movement in a vertical or tilted position.

The M.B.C. model R2 adds to our line of American made welding positioners.

The highlight of the R2 is the 2” diameter top plate through hole, that allows parts with features up to 2 inches to be located closer to the turntable. This eliminates the need for tall fixturing and ensures more precise welds. Additionally, this design allows for long length work or rear/bottom loading in both the horizontal or vertical position.

The convenient front mounted handwheel provides infinite tilt control capabilities between 90 degrees back and 10 degrees forward to fine tune welding angles. The large, sealed roller bearing ensures smooth rotary motion up to the maximum weight capacity.

A rotary purge coupling is also available as an option and can be easily installed and removed as necessary. To further increase productivity and reduce your cost, the R2 can use the same foot switch and chuck options as our popular BP-2 positioner.
